Otter in Old Town San Diego part 2

Today Old Town San Diego is a state historic park that is a fun place to explore.  Some places that Otter enjoyed was the Wells Fargo Museum.  You can read all about that in our article “Wells Fargo Museum in Old Town San Diego.”   The Seely Stable was a neat place with all different  kinds of wagons that were driven.

There was Black Hawk Smithy and Stable blacksmith that was actually making stuff out of iron and explaining how blacksmithing works.  The San Diego Union Museum gives demonstrations on how printing a newspaper would happen in the 19th century.

Then there was the Old Town House of Jerky and Root Beer.  This had nothing to do with the start of San Diego but it was just fun.  They had every kind of flavor of soda you could imagine.  They have all sorts of interesting flavors of jerky.

There were other various gift shops available as well as museums to look through.  These shops had fun souvenir type gifts.  There was a candy store that was making their own salt water taffy and you could watch them make it.
