Otter came into our family a couple of years ago while taking a trip to Corpus Christi, Texas. We were there to enjoy some relaxation at the beach and do some sight seeing as well.
We spent a morning at Texas State Aquarium where we saw the otter exhibit. The otters were so playful and fun to watch. We learned a lot about otters that day. We probably spent the most time watching the otters.
When it was time to leave the aquarium we decided to stop by the gift shop. My youngest son found a stuffed otter and had to have it. We let our children get souvenirs on our trips for them to enjoy and remember the trip. We decided the otter was a great souvenir for our youngest son.
We left the aquarium gift shop that day with a souvenir for my son who quickly became an important party of the family.
Before leaving Corpus, my husband thought it would be a good idea to take a few pictures of the things we had seen during our trip with Otter in the pictures. He would become sort of a mascot for our family. We thought it would be fun to take him on all our adventures and photograph Otter at each of the places we visited.
This idea of Otter being our family mascot and going on our trips with us was the start of the idea for the where’s Otter blog. We enjoy sharing where Otter goes and the things he learns on all his trips with everyone else. We hope you will stop by often and see what adventure Otter goes on next.
