Located in Alvin, Texas, Bayou Wildlife Zoo is an 80 acre open range zoo. They have animals from all over the world. It’s a great place to spend time with the kids and they get to feed and pet many of the animals. Most of the zoo is viewed from a 45 minute tram ride. Take a look at what Otter and his friends saw.
Bayou Wildlife Zoo is a lot of fun for the kids. I would plan on going in the morning and eating a picnic lunch in the picnic area with the deer looking over your shoulder, begging for food. By lunch time, you will have probably had time to see everything once. After that, you can re-visit some of the animals, take a pony ride, or head out to explore more of the Alvin area, head down to Galveston for a ferry ride, or take the kids home for a nap.
